To represent the Townsville Marine multi-brand dealership professionally and deliver strong sales results in the premium boat segment. This role focuses on relationship-based selling, technical knowledge, and maintaining customer confidence throughout the purchase and delivery process. As Salesperson you will be working with Bar Crusher, Cruise Craft, Hooker Boats, Formosa, Sea Jay, Destroyer and Yamaha products. Townsville Marine dealership offers both sales and service for these brands across the entire region of North and Far North Queensland.
Your responsibilities
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers seeking high quality fishing boats. They will experience excellence during the sales process
- Sell ‘ready to fish’ boat packages and proactively pursue new leads and opportunities, taking ownership of building and growing a healthy sales pipeline.
- Guide customers through a consultative sales process, ensuring a premium experience from initial customer sales enquiry through to handover of new boat purchase
- Demonstrate expertise in multiple brands and models, confidently explaining performance, build quality and fit out options.
- Present and follow up price guides and quotations that reflect the customer’s specifications and purchasing timeline
- Coordinate showroom visits and water tests to support high-value purchasing decisions
- Maintain accurate customer records in Quotient and pipeline records for all enquiries, quotes and deals in progress - ensuring management visibility of every active deal.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including qualifying leads effectively, prioritising genuine buyers, financing coordination, trade-ins and handover process scheduling.
- Liaise closely with internal teams - accounts, workshop, service, parts and accessories, logistics – to manage with he assistance of the operations manager the complete sales process from pre-handover, day of handover and post-handover to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with all sales process documentation to ensure communication, coordination, and accountability is maintained across internal teams.
- Communicate proactively with customers on order/fit out/handover progress and timelines, setting realistic expectations and maintaining confidence.
- Support the dealership’s reputation by delivering after-sales follow-up and support, and handover to service manager for servicing to ensure repeat /referral business.
- Actively engage in ongoing training during scheduled sales team meetings to continually develop your product knowledge, sales techniques, and understanding of the market. This includes participating in discussions, completing any assigned pre-work or follow ups and applying learned strategies in your daily sales activities.
- Attend customer events and industry functions representing Townsville Marine with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Contribute to multi-brand marketing through your knowledge of online campaigns and promotions
- Ensure boats are well presented and showroom clean – wiping down to keep free of dust and occasionally hose down a boat package.
- Assist with unpacking and set up of new boat packages
