Aluminium boat builder. Australian owned and operated FORMOSA MARINE are dedicated to building and developing trailerable, aluminium plate boats. The business is run by the original owners and is based on Brisbane’s bayside since 1998.
The aluminium boat ranges, Formosa Tomahawk and SEA-ROD are designed and built in Brisbane, Tingalpa and are Australia’s best designed for strength and and versatility. Each boat has the same engineering specifications so you can be assured that Formosa Marine’s plate boat construction, spacious layout and freeboard is in each hull regardless of the size or model selected from the largest range available.
Working closely with dealers and local Formosa boat owners Formosa Marine bring the strength, performance and design qualities you need in an aluminium boat.
Formosa Marine’s central focus and commitment have always been customer satisfaction and service. They work closely with their dealers and directly with customers to ensure they receive the boat of their dreams. The development of Formosa Marine boats and their operations has always been driven by the desire to design great boats and meet customer demand; not focusing on what others in the marine industry are doing.
Formosa Marine’s team of Welders, Fabricators and Fitout Specialists have been specifically trained and supported in their roles, in turn they take great pride in the production of the boats. Firstly, boat features and options are designed and manufactured inhouse, otherwise quality products (mainly for fitout) are sourced from marine industry specialists.
The advancement of the boats focusses on the strength, safety, quality and performance yet keeping them within an affordable price range. Early days saw their boats being tested in the most remote areas of Australia to ensure boats were developed to handle all environments. Enhancements are still being made however minor; be assured though, Formosa Marine never skimp on quality!
Formosa Marine began to satisfy the simple need to design and fabricate, hence why there is a long history of development that will continue into the future.
With the above company values and ever increasing brand recognition, Formosa Marine has become a thriving business achieving an impressive growth over recent years. Since the beginning, the business has moved as production increased. Today they own their shed in Tingalpa, Brisbane; a testament of their dedication to producing quality, safety and performance in aluminium plate boat manufacturing.
